What is Vaastu?
Vaastu Shastra is an ancient art and science with well- defined principles and practices of constructing buildings which ensures a happy balance between man and nature, thereby bringing all around happiness, health, wealth and prosperity. The breakup of the word "Vaas- tu' has a clear and distinctive meaning; "Vaas" means residence and "Tu" means God, or "the place where God cn live"; we can take it one step further, by defining it as good land for living".

During the Vedic period, there developed a body of architectural idaswhich came to be known as Vaastu Shastra. These ideas were embodied in the Vedas, the Puranas, the Grhyasutras, and several later works like Manasara.
